Hi there!  I’m Betsy and I am Hmong American. I was born in CA but raised in MN. I am 7 out 8 (10 if you include my half brother and step sister!). I am in my late 20s and have been in the hair industry since 2012. I am happily married and together we have an adorable 60 lbs. Pitbull mix. 

My passion for hair first started as a Senior in high school when I took a Cosmetology course at Century College. Prior to taking the class I would watch countless videos of hair braiding and updos since I had NO experience with hair. Watching all those videos helped me learn so many new techniques which led me to winning first place in my very first hair contest! This was the moment I realized I LOVE doing hair. 

Fast forward to summer of 2020 I decided that it was finally time for me to pursue what I love most with hair so here I am with my own small business as a onsite bridal hairstylist!  I also work behind the chair at Salon Ori in St. Paul and I’m currently a studio artist with an amazing hair+makeup team called 139 Hair by Heidi.
